Windshield Battles Rules & Regulations
Windshield Battles is a Windshield Protection Films Competition that features 8 two-person teams installing Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin Protection Film on a Tesla Model 3 windshield in a classic Team vs Team Elimination Battle!
Team Structure: Competitors will consist of two-person teams facing off against each other.
Competition Vehicle: (2) Tesla Model 3 Windshield
Objective: Install Bray Windshield Skin Protection Film on windshield before the opposing team while adhering to the specified criteria and without damaging the film. The first team to successfully complete the task wins.
Judging Criteria: The first team to produce a passable installation, as judged and approved by the designated referee/judges, will be declared the winner of the round. Criteria is listed below under the "Rules" section.
Qualification Process:
Day 1, Day 2: Teams will audition for the competition by installing Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin Protection Film on Day 1 & Day 2 in a timed challenge with EPD in the Film Trainers Arena. The TOP 4 fastest recorded installs of Day 1 and TOP 4 of Day 2 will BATTLE in the FINALS on Day 3. 8 Teams total compete in the finals.
Day 3: 8 Advancing Teams will CLASH on the 3rd Day in an elimination series BATTLE!

Rules:
- Each team will have a 10-minute time limit to complete their windshield films installation. Exceeding the time limit will lead to an automatic disqualification.
- NO Overstretching: Overstretching cannot be fixed and will lead to automatic disqualification. Overstretching can be identified as "silvering" in the film.
- NO Creases
- NO Excess Moisture
- NO Fingers on the film are allowed.
- Final Cut - Straight 1/8" from the edge of the glass and no more than 1/4" from edge. Outside of these parameters will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Contamination: Some contamination could be fixable therefore may not be an automatic disqualification. The designated judges and referees will have final say.
- Dry silvering pockets from not enough slip cannot be fixed and will lead to automatic disqualification.
AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFIERS
- Exceeding 10 minutes for prep & install.
- Overstretching: Identifying overstretching is seeing distortion spots in the film. It is not to be stretched like PPF. It has stretchable properties but should not be pulled beyond the windshield.
- Exceeding parameters 1/8” from glass edge and no more than 1/4”
- Creases in the film.
- Dry silvering pockets from not enough slip.
