Heat Shrink Battles™ – Official Competition Format

Heat Shrink Battles™ is a structured, multi-round window tinting competition designed to test speed, control, and technical precision under pressure. The format begins with timed qualifying rounds and advances into a head-to-head elimination bracket to determine the World Champion.

Qualifying Rounds – Timed Challenge

The competition opens with an individual timed heat shrink challenge.

  • Competitors complete a window tinting shrink pattern on the assigned battle glass.
  • Shrinks must meet judge approval standards — no fingers, film damage, or excessive distortion on the window tint.
  • All entries that meet judging standards will be recorded.

The top 16 fastest competitors move on to the Preliminaries.

Preliminaries – Head-to-Head Elimination

Sixteen competitors are randomly drawn into eight 1v1 matchups.

  • First competitor to complete a clean, judge-approved shrink within the time limit advances and eliminates their opponent.
  • Failure to complete within the allotted time limit before their opponent, results in elimination.
  • Damages to the film during competition will result in disqualification.

(8) winners advance to the Finals.

Finals – Single Elimination Bracket

The remaining eight competitors enter a traditional bracket format:

  • Quarterfinals (8 to 4)
  • Semifinals (4 to 2)
  • Championship Round (2 to 1)

Final Round will be a best 2 out of 3 to determine the final Heat Shrink Battle Champion of the World.

Judging Standards

All rounds are evaluated on:

  • Speed and efficiency
  • Shrink control and technique
  • No damaging of the film in the installable area

All judging decisions are final.

The final competitor standing earns the Heat Shrink Battles™ World Championship Title, official championship recognition, and global exposure through the Tinter Battles™ platform.
