Making your way DOWNTOWN, driving fast and suddenly — SMACK!
A loud pop that that startles you as you notice the impact zone of the dreaded rock chip on your windshield ... not again! A crack begins to form and completely ruins your glass.
Windshields are becoming increasingly more advanced with integrated technologies like radars, sensors, and much more. All of this new tech is exciting and awesome except when it's time to replace it and you have to cover the costs out of pocket. Oh no!
Let's be frank. If you own a stylish car or consider yourself a car enthusiast, the idea of safeguarding your vehicle has likely crossed your mind. While products like paint protection film (PPF) and tinting have become commonplace, windshield protection film is emerging as the next big trend in the automotive film industry. Comparable to where PPF stood a decade ago, windshield protection film is rapidly evolving into the indispensable film in the industry.
A product gaining popularity with professionals is one distributed by Energy Products Distribution called Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin
According to epdwindowfilm.com, "Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin is an 8-mil (6 mils urethane + 2 mils other), optically clear film that is installed on the outside of a windshield to protect it from cracking or breaking from road debris, saving the vehicle owner the hassle and inconvenience of windshield replacement. Windshield protection is a complement to paint protection film (PPF), which is designed to protect paint.
Unlike other windshield protection films, Super Stretch is A-TPU urethane-based which makes installation much simpler. Average installation time is only 20 minutes and average profit per car is $300! In fact, it’s so easy to install, some people can do it blindfolded!" This prompts the ultimate question:

What is Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin?
According to EPD, "Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin is an optically clear, peel away film that is installed on the outside of a windshield to help protect it from cracking or breaking from road debris, saving the vehicle owner the hassle and inconvenience of windshield replacement. In other words, it’s like PPF for glass, and just as profitable too!
The profit story for the tint shop is incredible. The average retail price to your customer is $500 per windshield. The average cost of film material per windshield is $200. The average installation time is 20 minutes per windshield. That’s a profit of $900 per hour!
The market for windshield protection film is growing as the product is not just for exotic vehicles anymore. That’s because advanced driver assistance systems, such as lane departure warning, collision avoidance, and autopilot, often rely on technology incorporated in the windshield to function. These windshields are expensive to replace and often require a trip to the dealership for recalibration of the onboard systems. Insurance companies are raising premiums and cancelling policies altogether because of impact damage to expensive windshields. This is something that wasn’t an issue only a few years ago.
EPD is the national distributor of Bray Super Stretch Windshield Skin for the entire United States and offers dealers an easy way to begin selling windshield protection films and earning high profits. EPD and Bray offer a formalized dealer program and because the product is so easy to install, an experienced tint of PPF installer will need no formal training."
